Score 84-86/100 · Drink 2019-2023, Neal Martin, Jan 2019

The 2017 Monthélie Les Sous Roche has a pleasant if slightly rustic bouquet, a little more savory than its peers. The palate is balanced with bold tannin, delivering a pleasant fullness in the mouth even if it feels very uncomplicated and (again) a touch rustic on the finish.

Smoke and wet-earth aromas with ripe-strawberry and floral undertones. Medium to full body, medium, round tannins and a savory finish. Drink or hold.
