Score 88/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous

Bright red-ruby. Spicy aromas of blackberry, black raspberry, flowers and mint. Dry, fresh and subtle in the mouth, with creamy, refined black fruit flavors showing lovely restrained sweetness. Finishes firm and long, with rather soft tannins. Showed a slight stewed fruit character, and more evidence of its 14.4% alcohol, with extended aeration.
