Score 86/100 · Drink 1996-2007, Robert Parker, Aug 1995
Mussy had mixed success in 1993, producing some hard, lean, meagerly endowed 1993s, as well as three wines that appear to possess enough glycerin, richness, and body to stand up to the vintage's structure. Displaying more structure than the Beaune Les Epenottes as well as tannin, the Beaune Les Montrevenots offers a tight, reticent nose of earth, herbs, spice, and red fruits. Medium-bodied, with good fruit, a compact personality, and moderate tannin in the finish, this wine will benefit from another 1-2 years of cellaring; it should last for 10-12 years.
