Tasting notes
Based on 79% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, brought up in 40% new barrels, the 2024 Château Cap De Mourlin offers red and black fruits, crushed stone, graphite, and sappy flower notes. Medium-bodied and elegant, with an incredibly mineral-driven profile, it has fine tannins, juicy acidity, and a great finish.

79% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Cask sample. Red-berry fruit with a savoury edge. A little strict but has a beginning, middle and end. (JL)
The 2024 Cap de Moulin has a clean and pretty nose with red cherry, raspberry and cedar scents that gain intensity in the glass but remain elegant in style. The palate is medium-bodied with gentle grip. It's simple but balanced and a little drier on the finish than I would like. It's not bad, though not the best vintage in recent years.
