2015 Riesling Spiegel

The 2015 Riesling Grand Cru Spiegel is intense and dusty on the nose, as if rocks had been blown up and the dust settled on the grapes. Like the Muscat Spiegel, this Riesling is a bit vegetal but shows more intensity and density on the nose. On the palate, this is a refreshing, very pure and straight Riesling with a racy-piquant acidity, but a rich and intense fruit of ripe apples. The finish is fresh and grippy, but has a certain harshness too.
