The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Crais is rather herbaceous and diffuse, lacking concentration and character. This ranks a step behind the Marsannay cuvées.

Cask sample. Simple red fruit with a sheen of oak spice. There is ripe tannin here, but it isn't obviously Gevrey in structure. Complete, ripe, balanced. Has enough fruit concentration to age fairly well for a few years, although isn't hugely complex. (RH)
