The 2003 Syrah Estate nods to the Barossa with its aromas of baked blackberry, blackcurrant preserve, smoke and grilled meat that picks up a touch of volatility as it sits in the glass. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, open-knit and savory. Now's a good time to start pulling corks.

(15.4% alcohol) Bright red-ruby. Musky aromas of plum, pepper and game, with some sweet oak showing. Fat, sweet and fruity, with dark raspberryflavor complemented by smoked meat. Offers pinot-like fruit but finishes with more tannic grip and less sweetness from the oak.
