Tasting notes
The 2018 Pinot Noir Single-Block Reserve Russian River Valley comes from clone 667 and was destemmed and brought up in 77% new barrels. It has some nutty, peanut-like nuances that give way to a meaty, beefy Pinot Noir with lots of red and black fruits, notes of roasted herbs and earth, medium to full body, and a mouthfilling, charming, pleasure-bent style. Drink bottles over the coming 4-6 years.

The 2018 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley Reserve is a barrel selection from estate fruit planted in 1997. The nose is shy to begin, giving black tea, earth, cola and lilac with a core of black and blue berries. The medium-bodied palate has a silky texture and is more open than the nose at this stage, offering earth-laced fruits, a grainy frame and uplifted finish.
