Tasting notes
Red plums, currants, spicy wood, tobacco, and some incense-like, subtly lifted aromatics emerge from the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Class Of '73. Based on 81% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec, and 1% Petit Verdot and aged 30 months in 60% new French oak, it's a medium to full-bodied 2022 that has ripe tannins, a beautifully layered textured mouthfeel, sound tannins, terrific balance, and outstanding length. An incredibly successful 2022 with tons of character, I'd gladly drink a bottle any time over the coming 15 years. Drink 2025-2040.

Freshness and energy come with bright red-fruit flavors in this lively, appetizing and approachable wine. Itâs full-bodied yet supple, delicious and easy to drink. Moderate tannins support raspberries, red cherries, dark chocolate and vanilla bean on the palate. Drink now or hold.
