Tasting notes
Tasted blind. Slightly weak ruby. Warm, ripe nose. Lots of juice and not much tannin but acidity lurking in the background. I could enjoy this tonight, however. Just slightly drying, even bitter, finish. (JR)

The 2021 La Fleur de Gay is much more successful than the La Croix de Gay this year, with more fruit and cohesion on the nose, for a start, while the palate is medium-bodied with fine grip. Not the most complex Pomerol this year, but there is a sense of balance and length.
Juicy and slightly ripe character with berries, roses and spice. Medium body. Juicy finish.
Flowers, chocolate, licorice, coffee bean and black cherries on the nose open to a soft, sweet, round, supple, textured, fleshy, plummy palate and finish with a nice touch of chocolate in the endnote. Drink from 2024-2040.
