From a steep, uniquely cobbled riverside vineyard opposite Schoden (also known as “Saarfeilser Marienberg”) that always has to be picked relatively early, this leads with pungent green herbs and quarry dust site-typically accenting its ripe white peach and mirabelle . Lush yet in no way heavy, and transparent to nutty, stony and herbal nuances, it finishes with a sustained, lovely combination of richness and refreshment.

Slaty nose, fizzing acidity, ripe and rounded fruit. Great Mosel structure – pure fruit with tension and tartness. Plenty of concentration on the length, deserves age. (RH)
