Score 94/100 · Drink 2020-2035, Erin Brooks, Wine Advocate, Dec 2019

The 2016 Nuns Canyon Vineyard Red Wine (mainly Cabernet Sauvignon) has a deep ruby color and youthfully coiled nose. It slowly gives baked blackcurrant, blackberry pie, dried sage and garrigue with touches of shaved nutmeg, cedar, chocolate-covered cherries and pencil lead. The palate is bold, intense and primary, with a powerful but plush tannic frame, juicy acidity and a very long, intensely flavored finish. This is going to be gorgeous in another 5-7 years and should be very long lived. 226 cases produced.
