Score 92/100 · Drink 1997-2003, Robert Parker, Dec 1998
A rating was given for this wine in the review, without a tasting note. I suppose it is no longer a secret that Helen Turley is the Martinelli winemaker.

Medium red color. Aromas of raspberry and fresh herbs. Fat and thick but bright in the mouth; broad and expansive, with good depth of flavor and a persistent, spicy finish.
About the producer

Martinelli
Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
