The 2018 Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon starts with a firm, dusty and juicy nose with aromas of tasty black cherry, wilted lavender and roses with elements of redcurrants and crème de cassis. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is juicy and features dusty tannins, with flavors of black plum and juicy black Raspberry skin across the mid-palate. The Cabernet concludes with firm, tannic edge and a lingering flavor of crème de violette. This rested for 20 months in French oak, 40% new, and represents a great value for the price. 252,000 bottles were filled.

Made with the addition of 13% Merlot and 8% Petit Verdot, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Walla Walla Valley is instantly impressive in the glass with aromas of crème de cassis, roasted black plum, blackberry compote and nuances of cedar, juicy tobacco and vanilla. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is impeccably balanced, showing a well-defined, ripe fruit profile before fine-grained tannins express across the mid-palate with elements of French baking spices. The wine somersaults to a delicious finish with a subtle essence of nutmeg and vanilla, which linger onto the aftertaste. The wine aged in French oak, 60% new, for 20 months. It's a gorgeous wine that will have no problem lasting until its 15th birthday. Give it a try. Only 1,104 bottles were filled.

A full-bodied red with aromas of blackcurrants, blackberries, oregano, oyster shell, praline and dried leaves. Compact and concentrated with firm, polished tannins and a fresh backbone of acidity. Drink or hold.

Another Red Mountain release, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Klipsun Vineyard is 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Malbec, and 1% Merlot aged 20 months in 94% new French oak. Its deep purple/plum color is followed by a ripe, chocolate, mineral-laced Cabernet that just screams of Red Mountain with its savory, earthy character. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has beautiful fruit, ripe yet building tannins, and a great finish. The tannins and structure are well-managed, but it needs 2-3 years of bottle age to integrate its oak and should keep for 10-15 years or more.
