Voerzio is a popular surname in the village of La Morra, and there are a handful of producers who use this family name in their wine brands, which can be confusing to the consumer. The Voerzio Alberto 2018 Barolo Castagni is a rich expression of Nebbiolo with an almost full-bodied approach (relative to the variety). The wine emits aromas of dried blackberry, cherry and scorched earth. This is the more immediate of the two Barolos made at this estate.
