Tasting notes
Vinified by Thibaud Boudignon and matured under the guidance of Vianney de Tastes, the 2018 Clos des Perrières is a somber wine in its first impression, evolving to a fresher, gourmand bouquet with aromas of almonds, white flowers, lime tree leaves and sage. Medium-bodied with a tense and straightforward mid-palate, it’s almost both iodine-like and mineral with a penetrating, fresh finish.

Subtle and aromatic on the nose, the 2018 Clos des Perrières shows white flowers and apple combining with a distinct oak-derived note on first sniff. There's a good sense of harmony, focus and roundness on the mid-palate. Fermented in 500-liter barrels, the wine stays on lees with no racking, imparting an almondy flavor. Firm, citrusy acidity couples with grainy phenolics on the finish, detracting slightly from the conclusion and giving a drying edge.
