Tasting notes
Coming from a newer, high-density planting, the 2019 Three-Four is based on 95% Syrah and 5% Mourvèdre, all destemmed and aged 20 months in 60% new barrels. Smoked blackberries, plums, peppery herbs, iron, and leather are just some of the nuances, and it's broad, expansive, and medium to full-bodied on the palate, with ripe tannins and good acidity. It's another 2019 that's just loaded with character. In addition to the Paso Robles releases from this great estate, they also produce a tiny amount of Pinot Noir from the Sta. Rita Hills under their Decroux label.

Blended with 5% Mourvèdre, the 2019 Three-Four Syrah has a medium ruby-purple color and aromas of cassis, mint chocolate, violets and grilled meats with an undercurrent of iron. The full-bodied palate is ripe and lush, with firm but rounded tannins and long, chocolaty finish.
