Tasting notes
The most initially shy of the site-designate Sauvignon Blancs, the 2022 Sauvignon Blanc Grassini Family Vineyard offers another layer of radiance and polish than the Happy Canyon bottling. White peach, Meyer lemon and kiwi aromas reveal themselves and lead to a rich, textural expression of Sauvignon Blanc that finishes on a soft, elegant note.

The single vineyard 2022 Sauvignon Blanc Grassini Family Vineyard comes from the Happy Canyon region and was brought up all in oak, 10% being new. Its medium gold hue is followed by a brilliant array of citrus and ripe stone fruits as well as spice, green almond, honeyed minerality, and brioche-like nuances. A big, broad, beautifully textured white on the palate, it has bright acidity and a great finish.
The 2022 Sauvignon Blanc Grassini Family Vineyard is a pretty restrained wine in this vintage. Tangerine peel, hazelnut, spice, cedar and light tropical accents all run through this steely, tightly wound Sauvignon Blanc. Give this a year or two in bottle.
