Tasting notes
Crushed strawberries are complemented by rose petals, lavender and white pepper as the 2021 Brunello di Montalcino Albori evolves in the glass. It displays seamlessly silken depths of ripe wild berry fruits underscored by crunchy mineral tones. The 2021 leaves the palate drenched in fine-grained tannins and primary concentration as hints of bitter dark chocolate mix with citrus through the long and deeply structured finish. Bury this beauty in the cellar.

Mid ruby with orange tinges. A little sour and stalky/reduced at first and with hints of tobacco leaf but growing in stature and depth on the nose with aeration. Plenty of sour-cherry fruit and powdery tannins. Still unsettled and embryonic yet promising. (WS)
