Tasting notes
The 2013 Syrah McGinley Vineyard is the most open and resonant of the Andrew Murray Syrahs. Dark red cherry, plum, spice and new leather blossom in a round, succulent wine built on texture. Creamy and expressive through to the finish, the McGinley reflects the personality of this warmer site and its corresponding lower acidity vis-a-vis the other Syrahs in the range. Sweet rose petal, raspberry jam and wild flowers are laced into the finish. This is the last vintage of the McGinley Syrah here.

One of the more mid-weight, attractive, yet straightforward Syrahs in the lineup, the semi-opaque colored 2013 Syrah Mcginley Vineyard offers savory, complex notes of raspberries, black cherries, spice and dried flowers on the nose. Made from 100% Syrah and seeing 25% new oak, drink this medium-bodied, lightly textured beauty over the coming 4-5 years.
