Full red. Raspberry and cherry-vanilla on the pungent, spice-accented nose. Rich, fleshy and broad on entry, then more taut in the middle, displaying sappy dark berry flavors with notes of gingerbread and anise. Tannins build with air and lend chewiness to this wine's densely packed fruit. Finishes with very good clarity, length and grip and a suggestion of bitter cherry. I'd cellar this one for at least another five years.
