2016 Clemens Busch Pündericher Marienburg Falkenlay Riesling GG

From weathered gray slate, Busch's 2016 Pündericher Marienburg Riesling GG "Falkenlay" offers a clear, pure and fine, highly complex and smoky bouquet of crushed stones and bright fruit aromas. Full-bodied, lush and salty, this is an enormously tensioned and intense Riesling that reveals a concentrated fruit core with a long, elegant and tensioned finish. The texture is almost silky and the minerality perfectly integrated. This is one of the finest of the 2016 GGs from the Mosel. Bottled in late September 2017; tasted February 2018.
