Tasting notes
A new offering in the Mondavi portfolio is the 1998 Pinot Noir Huichica Hills. Sweet black cherry, spice, smoke, mineral, and floral aromas give this dark ruby-colored, medium-bodied Pinot plenty of appeal. It is pure as well as exceptionally well-delineated and elegant. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. Tel. (707) 226-1395 and (800) MONDAVI; fax (707) 251-4386

Bright, deep ruby-red. Pure, fruit-driven aroma of black cherry. Rich and big but a bit obvious tasted next to the Reserve bottling. Thickness nicely leavened by bright acidity. Finishes with a note of resiny oak and a hint of heat.
