Tasting notes
The 2021 Zinfandel Reserve is a step up, with more density as well as purity. Red, blue, and black fruits, cigar wrapper, and chocolaty notes all define the aromatics, and it's medium to full-bodied and balanced, with fine tannins and outstanding length.

Canard's 2021 Zinfandel Reserve shows class and refinement that exceeds even their Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve. Harmonious waves of mixed berries and French oak mingle effortlessly on the nose and palate, which is full-bodied without being over the top, ripe but not overripe, with a lingering, silky finish. With this sort of quality in the glass, why shouldn't great Zinfandel from old vines and a historic vineyard site command prices like this?
