Tasting notes
The 2018 Pinot Noir Jolie Estate Vineyard is more perfumed and angular, with lots of Bing cherry and dried strawberry fruits to go with white flowers, chalky minerality, and rose petal-like aromas and flavors. It's another ethereal, seamless, medium-bodied beauty that shines for its complexity, elegance, and purity.

The 2018 Pinot Noir Jolie is super-expressive. Crushed flowers, red berries, cinnamon and mint all grace this wonderfully translucent, expressive Pinot Noir. Medium in body and long on character, the Jolie has a lot to offer. Crushed flowers, sweet red berry, spice, mint and subtle earthy notes grace this silky, transparent Pinot from Maggy Hawk.
Jackson Family’s northerly vineyard in California at 75–150 m. Mix of clones. Each lot vinified separately with an average of 20% whole cluster. Aged separately with an average of 20% new oak. 480 cases. Very fresh and pure on the nose. ‘Stereotypical feminine’ characters. Great purity with a light hazelnut character. So pretty! But there’s a little structure there too. (JR)
