Tasting notes
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Alpine Vineyard features herbal, almost bell pepper-like aromas, but it backs them up with plenty of cassis and black cherries. In the mouth, it's medium to full-bodied, smooth, supple, even charming and elegant, but it does have an annoying greenish character on the finish as well.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Alpine Vineyard comes from a site in the Stags Leap District and spent 18 months in 70% new French oak. It has a complex, more nuanced style in its red (and some black) fruits as well as more savory notes of dried herbs, baking chocolate, and loamy earth. These carry over to the palate, where the wine is medium-bodied, has supple, elegant tannins, some chocolaty oak, and a great finish. Drink it over the coming 10-15 years. 265 cases.
