2019 Von Winning Forster Kirchenstuck Riesling Grosses Gewachs

The 2019 Kirchenstück Riesling GG displays a radiant lemon-yellow color and opens with a pure, fresh and lemon-scented bouquet with chalky and flinty notes. Pure and fresh on the palate, with lemon aromas and a juicy-elegant texture, this is a tight, piquant, very long and tensioned Riesling with a salty lemon impression on the finish. This is another hedonistic Forster Riesling cru from Stephan Attmann; it is not as round as the Pechstein but has more purity, precision, finesse and elegance at this early stage. Tasted as a sample in May 2020.
