Brilliant red. Expansive red and blue fruit, potpourri and Asian spice aromas show excellent clarity and pick up a smoky mineral nuance with air. Combines power and finesse with a smooth hand, offering palate-staining raspberry, boysenberry and spicecake flavors that spread out steadily on the back half. Shows impressive intensity and a suave rose pastille quality on the subtly tannic, strikingly persistent finish, which leaves a sappy red fruit liqueur note behind. This bottling's track record for rewarding patience is rock-solid.
