Early Release Range. Pale ruby. Bit of beetroot nose. A bit brutal with lots of acidity and some vegetal quality. Hard work! The tannins need to calm down a little. (JR)
More cooked fruit than is the norm for this part of the world – deep, rich and pure. (RH)
Pale ruby-purple in color, the 2013 Pinot Noir is youthfully mute and a bit shy on the nose but coyly manages to show off a lovely perfume of violets, wild cherries, roses and dried leaves. Medium-bodied with a generous amount of red berry characters, the firm, very finely grained tannins and great acid backbone hold the flavors through a long finish.
