Score 90/100 · Drink 2013-2023, Jay S Miller, Wine Advocate, May 2011
The 2008 Crianza is made up of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Merlot aged in a mix of new and used French and American oak. Cedar, Asian spices, violets, tapenade, and blackberry aromas inform the nose of this elegant, savory, nicely proportioned Crianza from a very good vintage. This tasty effort will evolve for 2-3 years and deliver prime drinking from 2013 to 2023. Pago de Carraovejas is a single vineyard comprising 346 acres planted to 75% Tempranillo and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. Importer: Kysela Pere & Fils, Winchester, VA; Tel. (540) 722-9228
