Tasting notes
Saturated ruby. Powerfully scented cherry liqueur, blackberry, potpourri, vanilla and licorice scents are brightened by a smoky mineral overtone. Broad, sweet and fleshy in the mouth, offering ripe, deeply concentrated black and blue fruit preserve, violet pastille and mocha flavors that turn spicier on the back half. In a distinctly powerful style, showing strong, floral-driven persistence and polished tannins that sneak in late.

Cherry-jam, prune, walnut and spice aromas. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm tannins and ripe fruit. Some high-tone character. Polished and bigger style. Drink or hold.
The larger production cuvée is the 2016 Priorat Perinet, a rocking wine based on Grenache and Carignan. This medium to full-bodied, flawlessly balanced effort has nicely integrated acidity, good mid-palate depth, fine tannins, and classic Grenache red and blue fruits, leather, and rocky, mineral-like nuances. It’s going to evolve for 10-15 years or more.
