Score 98/100 · Drink 2014-2034, Robert Parker, Oct 2014

The 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon The Trail, fashioned from Clone 337, was aged in 100% new Darnajou barrels. It exhibits a dense purple color, a fabulous texture, a full-bodied mouthfeel, and lots of blueberry, blackberry and cassis fruit intermixed with hints of graphite and spring flowers. This is a Napa version of a Bordeaux Pauillac, only richer and fuller. It should drink well for the next 15-20 years.
