2008 Pine Ridge Tessitura

Another wine I tasted from Pine Ridge was their 2008 Tessitura, which is a blend of varietals found within Napa Valley. Dense ruby purple, it possesses some spicy oak, earth, and spice. The wine has good sweetness on the attack, medium body, and an elegant finish. Drink it over the next 5-6 years. Pine Ridge Vineyards’ second label is called Forefront. Barrel samples of the 2009 Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, 2009 Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon and 2009 Fortis Cabernet Sauvignon all showed forward fruit, deep color, charming tannins, and perhaps less weight than the 2008s or 2007s, but lots of style and elegance.
