2004 Mueller Family Vineyards Syrah Block Eleven

Inky ruby. Ripe, smoky scents of plum compote and candied blackberry are given an exotic twist by clove and nutmeg. Smooth and dense, with dark fruit flavors lifted by a zesty spicy quality. Expands and sweetens on the long, penetrating finish, which features supple tannins. A textbook example of California syrah.
