Tasting notes
The 2016 Croix des Rouzes has a ripe bouquet of black cherries, Christmas cake and a touch of smoke. The palate is chewy on the entry with simple red and black fruit, well balanced but missing some energy and tension on the finish. Easy-drinking Pomerol.

The 2016 Croix des Rouzes is a powerful, dense wine. Black cherry, chocolate, smoke, leather and licorice add to the wine's rich, bombastic feel. Croix des Rouzes is not a subtle wine by any means, but it does offer a good bit of intensity and plenty of character.
Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Croix des Rouzes opens with warm blueberries, blackberries and redcurrant jelly with touches of bay leaves, lavender and black olives. The palate is medium-bodied, firm and grainy with elegant fruit and great freshness, finishing minerally.
