Tasting notes
A big, dense, concentrated Zinfandel (which is the vintage), the purple-hued 2018 Zinfandel Carlisle Vineyard offers up a rich, full-bodied style as well as loads of blue and black fruits, full-bodied richness, ripe yet building tannins, and ample cedary spice s well as candied orange nuances.

Just about all Zinfandel (there's 2% each of Alicante Bouschet and Petite Sirah), the 2018 Zinfandel Sonoma County is about as textbook as they come with its deep purple color, black and blue fruits, notes of violets, spice, and flowery incense, and layered, medium to full-bodied mouthfeel. Flawlessly balanced, pure, and seamless on the palate, it's a stunning Zinfandel as well as a great value. Don't miss it.
The 2018 Zinfandel (Dry Creek Valley) is another stunning appellation-level wine from Carlisle that punches well above its weight. Black cherry, chocolate, spice, graphite, menthol and lavender are kick up a few notches in a potent, brooding Zinfandel that hits all the right notes. The 2018 is a blend from Teldeschi and Mounts, with 8% Petite Sirah from Mounts added. In a word: superb.
