Tasting notes
The 2023 Las Umbrías goes back to the ethereal profile of the cooler years, a wine of tension and fine-grained tannins. It rained during the flowering, and the yields were lower. It has a pale and bright ruby color and a nuanced nose, open, expressive and clean, with some notes of soy sauce intermixed with aromas of wild herbs and flowers (violets). The palate has the ethereal character and the energy of an iron fist in a velvet glove. It's super tasty and makes you salivate. 1,722 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2025.

The 2023 Garnacha Umbrías originates from vineyards planted on the eastern slopes of the Sierra de Gredos, a shadier location that lends the wine both its name and its pomegranate-like freshness. Delicate and fruit-driven, it displays field herb aromas and a juicy palate with a touch of indulgence on the entry and a gentle diffusion on the finish. This curious wine carries a subtle creaminess that is particularly appealing.
