Tasting notes
(no new oak used!) Full medium ruby. Black fruits, licorice and menthol on the nose. Big, sweet, round and rich, with compellingly thick, primary flavors of black fruits and fruit cake. Finishes with big, broad, chewy tannins but no rough edges. Very impressive petite sirah, with little overt oakiness to stand in the way of its expressive fruit. These wines are made by Bob Foley.

One of the most extraordinary Petite Sirahs I have ever tasted, this offering, fashioned by Pride Mountain’s winemaker, Bob Foley, boasts a saturated purple color as well as a gorgeous perfume of lilacs, graphite, creme de cassis, blackberries, and scorched earth. It is viscous, layered, and thick, with a tremendous wealth of fruit and glycerin concealing what must be lofty tannin. Drink it over the next 15-20 years. Tel. (707) 738-6187
