Score 88+/100 · Drink 2021-2030, Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Mar 2016

(from shallower soil than the Damodes): Good deep red. Medicinal black cherry and slightly intrusive oak on the nose. Powerful and backward, even a bit tough and austere, with a green edge that I did not find in the Côte de Nuits-Villages. Very difficult to taste today and in need of patience. Gilles Jayer told me he's enjoying the 2006 vintage of this bottling now.
