Pale bright yellow. Slightly reduced, lower-toned aromas of silex, stone and truffle. Round and large-scaled but dry and backward; almost monolithic today but with very good volume. Initially I wanted more definition and cut, but this tightened up quickly in the glass, showing good lemony acidity.

(from cuve; partly from young vines and partly from vines more than 60 years of age) Pale yellow. Deeply pitched aromas of peach and hazelnut. Fat, round and rather full, with ripe flavors of peach and honey. A big boy that's verging on heavy, especially in the context of this year. The clay soil yields a very closed style, notes Michel. This is something of a block now and needs to be refined.
