Tasting notes
The 2022 Moulin-à-Vent Champ de Cour has some reduction on the nose, though attractive black plum and iodine scents lie underneath. The palate is medium-bodied with chewy tannins. This is a sinewy Moulin-à-Vent that needs to muster more precision on the finish. I'm intrigued to see what the 2023 will bring.

The 2022 Moulin-à-Vent Champ de Coeur includes around 40% whole-bunch fruit. It has a black-truffle-tinged bouquet, quite intense and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with a more powdery texture compared to the Les Verillats, fresh and quite saline toward the finish with hints of black olive that linger on the aftertaste. This is quite a structured Moulin-à-Vent that will benefit from a couple of years in bottle.
