La Morra. Tasted blind. Mid ruby with orange tinges. Brooding nose with underlying richness of fruit and top notes of sweet spice. Lots of ripe cherry fruit perfectly balanced by tangy acidity. Bags of grainy tannins and proper depth on the finish. You could be tempted to drink this now, but there is more to come. (WS)
