Score 90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, May 2010

(harvested at 22o Brix) Greenish yellow. High-pitched, mineral-dominated nose shows a strong citrus character and hints of flowers and spices. Chewy and saline, with citrus and orchard fruit flavors and good spicy lift. Soil-driven, strikingly fresh and pungent wine that finishes with noteworthy cut and spicy persistence. These vines were planted in 1981; apparently this is the only source of this Alpine French variety in California
