Score 89/100 · Drink 2004-2012, Pierre Rovani, Feb 2004
The chalk-scented 2002 Riesling Spatlese Rudesheimer Magdalenenkreuz is a vivacious wine with penetrating acidity, lovely breadth, and flavors reminiscent of limestone, candied lemons, lilies, red fruits, as well as talcum powder. Its finish is exceptionally long, pure, and lively. Projected maturity: now-2012. Importer: Terry Theise Estate Selections, imported by Michael Skurnik Wines, Inc., Syosset, NY; tel. (516) 677-9300

Cool. Very fruity. Very pure. Well delineated. Light lime syrup. Very flattering. Wake-up refresher. Natural liquid refresher. (JR)

Pure and focused with real extract and intensity and the suggestion of lemon cream. Hint of florality. Not one of the sweetest. (JR)
