Tasting notes
The 2000 Brut Grand Cru Millésime is a gorgeous, elegant wine laced with perfumed, fragrant fruit, oak, spices, minerals and smoke. The wine possesses incredible finesse in its mouth, and a long, creamy finish that caresses the palate with notable silkiness. This is a sensual, beautifully-balanced wine from Egly-Ouriet. The 2000 Brut Grand Cru Millésime spent 82 months on its lees prior to being bottled with no fining or filtration. This bottle was disgorged in May, 2008.

72 months' tirage and disgorged back in July 07. Lightly appley nose. This wine opens out on the palate. Good balance and very fresh. Complete but more mainstream than the Vignes de Vrigny. Lightly frothy rather than explosive. Dry finish – serious stuff. Bit of a peacock’s tail on the finish. (JR)
