Good medium red. Aromas of plum, smoke and underbrush. Fat and sweet in the mouth; a step up in texture from the Bousse d'Or. Round, sweet and satisfying Volnay, finishing with dusty tannins and very good length.

Good deep red. The deepest nose by far to this point, showing ripe black cherry. Then offers very good lift in the mouth, with flavors of smoky red fruits perked up by peppery spices. More primary than the Clos de la Bousse d'Or but also round, full and rich. This has plenty of structure too. An excellent showing.
