Score 93/100 · Robert Parker, Aug 1994
Last Tasted 5/93 An ostentatious, bold, brawny wine, this 1976 Cabernet is bursting with extract and richness. Still young, the wine exhibits a saturated ruby/garnet color with slight amber at the edge, an unctuous texture, loads of cedary, earthy, herbaceous scents, and lavish quantities of jammy, cassis fruit. A spectacular effort, it is brilliantly balanced and is just now becoming approachable.
