A juicy, flavorful red with blackberry, chocolate and hazelnut character. Some coffee undertones. Full body and firm, silky tannins with a chewy edge. Flavorful finish. Drinkable now, but better with some age. Try in 2022.

The entry-level Cabernet, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep purple-hued effort offering lots of upfront currant and blackberry fruits, notes of scorched earth and chocolate, medium to full body, good tannins, and plenty of classy Cabernet character. Drink it over the coming 5-7 years.

A blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot, 1% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot, the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon is deep garnet-purple colored and closed on the nose with tar and earth aromas plus baked plums, herbs and cedar notes. It has a decent core of fruit with a firm, grainy texture, finishing lively and long.
