Score 17/20 · Drink 2024-2036, Jancis Robinson MW, Feb 2024

56% Sauvignon Blanc, 24% Sémillon, 20% Sauvignon Musqué. Fruit sourced from Ryan’s Vineyard in Oak Knoll, Rancho Pequeño in Oakville and Juliana Vineyard in Pope Valley.   Pale lemon-green in colour. Mineral nose reminiscent of wet pebbles alongside a burst of tangerine peel. Restrained vanilla and nutmeg oak notes compared with the 2022, with an incredibly classic (for oaked Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon) streak of chive blossom through it. Fresh, bright acid and a fat, waxy texture. Long, saline finish. (SCJ)

The 2021 Sauvignon Blanc is bright, focused and beautifully delineated. Lime, white flowers, green apple and white pepper all come alive in steely, finely cut Sauvignon Blanc that is loaded with character. Above all else, I loved the precision here .
