Tasting notes
Three stars is internal quality assessment and only in very good years. One 3,000-litre new Stockinger Fuder. A lesson in how to have intensity and light body. Delightful mouth-watering acidity, lots of finesse and precision. Lemon, flint, nutty spice and a floral finish. (TJ)

From the oldest vines (120+ years), the 2015 Riesling Zeltlinger Sonnenuhr Auslese *** (White Capsule) opens with a very pure yet rich and intense bouquet of luxuriously ripe and intense fruits. Rich and opulent on the palate, still with a yeasty texture but great elegance and endless salinity, this is a powerful and intense Riesling with fine yet vital acidity, a very good mineral grip and a long finish. However, this wine needs at least 10 to 20 years to age and might deserve an even higher score then.
